This weekend was, perhaps, the most exhausting weekend of our lives. I (Jack) was off work for Good Friday, so we decided to meet our good frineds, the Eckenrode's, at the Dallas Arboretum for some pictures of our kids. After a little over an hour, the boys were ready to head home for their nap. The rest of the day, we spent playing outside and made a trip to Chick-fil-A for dinner.
On Saturday, we took the boys various places and played with them all day. We decided to give PF Chang's a chance for dinner, so we packed-up the twins and headed to Northpark Mall. Two words can explain our evening: BAD IDEA. Both boys were restless, which translated into screaming and chop stixs being thrown everywhere.
On Sunday, we woke-up and went to church with Darrell and Gayle. After a brief visit (Jacob was not on his best behavior), we headed to pick-up Suzanne's grandmother from the Assisted Living Center to eat Easter lunch with the family. As they did the weekend before, the boys made-out like bandits with toys, clothes, and candy from the Tate Easter Bunny. The best gift of all...D&G kept the twins and allowed Suzanne and I to come-home and sleep. I must have been pretty tired because I went to sleep right when we got home at 2 p.m. and didn't wake-up until 7 p.m. THANK YOU VERY MUCH to D&G for the much-needed night of R&R.
Next weekend, we're headed to Waco to celebrate the 80th birthday of my grandmother, Mimi. Have a great week!
