Jacob and Luke's 2nd Birthday Party

This has been a VERY busy last few days. Luckily, we're going on vacation (sans the twins) next week, so we put all of our effort into the twins' 2nd birthday party. The party consisted of our family and some of the twins' friends.

As usual, we need to give a big thank you to our parents. Without them, the party would have been just cake and ice cream. More importantly, without them, we wouldn't be going on vacation next week!

Please enjoy the pictures of the twins' 2nd birthday party. We had an appearance by the infamous Elmo for 30 minutes. There's one important lesson we learned from today: Luke doesn't like Elmo in-person. He LOST it. Daddy had to take him to the back room while Elmo finished his routine for Jacob and the remaining party-goers.

Luke was a big help, also

Jacob wasn't too freaked-out by Elmo

The Ivey twins, Ben and Henry, are another set of twins who are friends with Jacob and Luke. They have almost the exact same characteristics as our twins: they were born at 31 weeks (same as J&L), they were around 3 1/2 pounds each (same as J&L), they were born at Presby Dallas (same as J&L), and they were born on July 3, 2007 (one day before J&L). In addition, we were in a 'Preparing for Multiples' class with Andy and Jen (their parents) before our kids were born, we were in the room next to theirs at the Presby NICU, and the boys know each other through The Little Gym

Yummmmmmmmmm!!!!

I guess Jacob never got his ice cream...

I'm not sure if this is Connor or Bryce Hagood. Doesn't he look exactly like Macaulay Culkin??

Luke is either eating his finger or he is getting all of the cupcake icing from under his fingernails

Luke watching as the guests leave. Jacob was so tired from the festivities that he went to bed before the party ended at noon

The only thing interesting about this picture is the actual present: Potty Elmo...seriously...

Luke modeling his birthday outfit. As you can tell from the theme of the party, the twins are crazy about Elmo! Quick note, he has also been modeling his 'birthday suit' a lot more recently, ever since he learned (and applied) the term "Wee-wee" to his vocabulary
