Great News!

We are so thrilled that Jacob's surgery went very well yesterday and he was even able to be extabated before they brought him up from the OR. I was terrified of seeing him on a ventilator so I was extremely happy that he was breathing on his own even though he was very sedated. He has a one inch scar just to the right of his belly button so now he joins his father and I in the belly-scar club! The surgery literally took 7 minutes!! It took them longer to get him down to the OR than it did to actually complete the procedure. They are planning on starting him on some Pedialyte later today and will hopefully have him back on milk by later this evening. I know he will be thrilled to have some real food in his belly! Thank you all so much for your prayers for Jacob - we sincerely appreciate it! Now we just patiently wait while he works his way back up to eating again.

As for Luke, he had his first visit with the Pediatrician today and is just gaining weight like a champ! He's almost 5 pounds, 14 ounces and is starting to look like a little chunky monkey. Here are some pictures from our trip home on Wednesday night...

This is Luke in his GIGANTIC car seat - have you ever seen anything cuter??

This is one of the wonderful nurses that worked with the boys, Debra. Thanks, Debra, for taking such good care of them!!

Here is Luke's first picture without his nose tube - so handsome!
